Pradosh Vrat Puja
Worship of Lord Shiva during the auspicious twilight time (Pradosh Kaal)
Materials Required
- Shiva Linga or Idol
- Gangajal (Holy Water)
- Panchamrit (Milk, Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar)
- Bel Patra (Bilva Leaves)
- White Flowers
- Sandalwood Paste (Chandan)
- Bhasma (Sacred Ash)
- Deepam (Ghee Lamp) & Incense
- Fruits & Naivedya
Step-by-Step Procedure

Vrat Sankalpa
Observe a fast from sunrise. Bathe again one hour before sunset (Pradosh Kaal) and wear clean clothes.

Preparation
Clean the puja altar. Place the Shiva Linga facing East or North. Light the lamp and incense.

Abhishekam
Perform Abhishekam with water, followed by Panchamrit, and finally with water again while chanting "Om Namah Shivaya".

Alankaram & Offerings
Adorn the Linga with Chandan and Bhasma. Offer Bel Patra and white flowers. Offer fruits and Naivedya.

Pradosh Katha & Aarti
Read or listen to the Pradosh Vrat Katha. Perform the Maha Aarti and seek forgiveness for any mistakes.

Meaning: I bow to Shiva.
