Daily Abhishek Puja
A simple daily ritual to honor Lord Shiva with water and devotion
Materials Required
- Shiva Linga (Small)
- Clean Water or Gangajal
- Bel Patra (Bilva Leaves)
- Sandalwood Paste (Chandan)
- Vibhuti (Sacred Ash)
- Flowers (White preferred)
- Incense Stick & Lamp
- Simple Naivedya (Sugar/Raisins)
Step-by-Step Procedure

Purification
After your morning bath, wear clean clothes. Sprinkle some water on yourself and the puja area to purify it.

Invocation
Light the lamp and incense. Bow to Lord Ganesha first, then mentally invoke Lord Shiva in the Linga.

Jalabhishek
Slowly pour clean water (mixed with Gangajal if available) over the Shiva Linga while chanting "Om Namah Shivaya".

Alankaram
Wipe the Linga dry. Apply three horizontal lines of Vibhuti and a dot of Chandan. Offer Bel Patra and flowers.

Offering & Prayer
Offer some sugar or raisins as Naivedya. Wave the incense stick or camphor (Aarti) and pray for well-being.

"Om Namah Shivaya"
Meaning: I bow to Shiva.
