Weekly worship of Goddess Laxmi on Fridays for prosperity
Materials Required
- Idol or Picture of Goddess Laxmi
- Red or Pink Flowers
- Ghee Lamp (Diya)
- Incense Sticks
- Sweets (Kheer or White Sweets)
- Kumkum & Turmeric
- Water in a Kalash
- Camphor for Aarti
- Sri Suktam Book (Optional)
Step-by-Step Procedure
Preparation
Wake up early, take a bath, and wear clean clothes (preferably white or pink). Clean the puja altar.
Lighting the Lamp
Light a ghee lamp and incense sticks before the idol of Goddess Laxmi to invite positive energy.
Invocation
Pray to Lord Ganesha first to remove obstacles. Then invoke Goddess Laxmi with devotion.
Offerings
Apply Tilak (Kumkum/Turmeric) to the Goddess. Offer fresh flowers and sweets (Naivedyam) like Kheer.
Chanting
Recite the Sri Suktam, Laxmi Ashtothram, or simply chant "Om Mahalakshmyai Namah".
Aarti
Perform the Laxmi Aarti with camphor or the ghee lamp. Pray for the well-being of your family.

Meaning: I offer my salutations to Goddess Mahalakshmi, who resides on the Lotus and bestows wealth and prosperity.
