Materials Required
- Idol of Baby Krishna (Laddu Gopal)
- Swing (Jhula)
- New Clothes & Jewelry for Idol
- Panchamrit (Milk, Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar)
- Makhan (Butter) & Mishri
- Tulsi Leaves
- Flowers & Garland
- Incense & Lamp
- Cucumber (for birth ritual)
Step-by-Step Procedure
Fasting & Sankalpa
Observe a fast throughout the day. Take a vow to perform the pooja at midnight (Nishita Kaal).
Abhishekam
At midnight, bathe the idol of Laddu Gopal with Panchamrit, then with water (Gangajal).
Shringar (Decoration)
Wipe the idol dry and dress Him in new clothes and jewelry. Place Him in the swing (Jhula).
Offerings (Bhog)
Offer Makhan-Mishri, fruits, sweets, and Tulsi leaves. Tulsi is essential for Krishna pooja.
Jhulan & Aarti
Gently swing the Jhula. Perform the Aarti with a ghee lamp and sing bhajans.
Parana (Breaking Fast)
After the pooja, distribute Prasad and break your fast.
Krishna Mantra
"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya"
Meaning: I bow to the Lord Vasudeva (Krishna).
