Recitation of the glorious chapter of Ramayana for strength and peace
Materials Required
- Idol/Picture of Ram Darbar & Hanuman
- Sundarkand Book (Ramcharitmanas)
- Red Cloth for Asana
- Ghee Lamp (Diya) & Incense
- Red Flowers (Hibiscus/Rose)
- Sweets (Boondi/Ladoo) & Fruits
- Tulsi Leaves
- Gangajal & Kalash
- Sandalwood Paste & Sindoor
Step-by-Step Procedure
Preparation & Sankalpa
Clean the area, place the idols on a red cloth. Light the lamp and take a vow (Sankalpa) to complete the path with devotion.
Invocation
Worship Lord Ganesha first. Then invoke Lord Rama, Sita, and Hanuman. Offer flowers and Tilak.
Offerings
Offer Sindoor to Hanuman Ji. Offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Rama. Offer fruits and sweets as Naivedyam.
Sundarkand Path
Begin reciting the Sundarkand. It is recommended to read the Hanuman Chalisa before starting.
Aarti
After completing the path, perform the Aarti of Lord Rama and Hanuman Ji.
Doha
"Deen Dayal Biridu Sambhari
Harahu Nath Mam Sankat Bhari"
Meaning: O Lord, You are the protector of the downtrodden. Please remove my heavy burden of grief and trouble.
